This poster is extremely rare and is in a MINT flawless condition! This Original Release poster printed in 1955 is almost certainly the best example condition that still exists.

Part of a larger collection of rare Japanese speed posters acquired from a collector in Shizuoka prefecture by Japan Poster Shop.

We are very honored to have this extremely rare piece of cinema history in our store.

It is now our mission to export Japan`s finest movie art to collectors from the rest of the world.

As stated above and as can be seen in the photos the condition is MINT unbelievable given its age. The image is the exact poster that you will be purchasing so please refer to it also.

The hunk of the 1950s, James Dean, the man your grandmother was probably day-dreaming about. This film, "Rebel Without a Cause," was directed by Nicholas Ray. The film was a groundbreaking attempt to portray the moral decay of American youth, critique parental style, and explore the differences and conflicts between  generations.

The title was adopted from psychiatrist Robert M. Lindner's 1944 book, Rebel Without a Cause: The Hypnoanalysis of a Criminal Psychopath. The film, however, does not make any references to Lindner's book in any way.

To our knowledge this is one of the very few that still exist. It is not sold in any large auctions in the West or East. We came across it from a collector of family generations.

The outstanding design is unique to Japan and the colours remain extremely pigmented and vivid.
