Our collection encompasses hundreds of original Japanese theatrical posters for Japanese, American, British and European war films, spanning classic productions, anti-war masterpieces, historical epics and modern cinema.

Of particular significance are the films of Akira Kurosawa, whose historical dramas and depictions of conflict include Seven Samurai (1954), Throne of Blood (1957), Kagemusha (1980) and Ran (1985). Although several of these works are more accurately classified as samurai or historical cinema, their depictions of warfare, political power and human conflict have made them important works within the broader history of war-related filmmaking.
