This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1957 for the first release of The Monster that Challenged the World. The poster has a very unique blue colored design which is only used on the Japanese poster.

The poster is almost 70 years old and has condition issues - a small hole just above the center left hand side, a tear on the right hand edge. Once this poster is framed it displays wonderfully.

This poster is sold framed with a cream color mount. The price of the frame and mount is included with the poster.

The Monster That Challenged the World (original filming titles: The Jagged Edge and The Kraken) is a 1957 black-and-white science-fiction monster film from Gramercy Pictures, produced by Arthur Gardner, Jules V. Levy, and Arnold Laven (who also directed), and starring Tim Holt and Audrey Dalton. The film was distributed by United Artists as a double feature with The Vampire.

The film concerns an army of giant mollusks that emerge from California's Salton Sea. (Source Wikipedia)
