This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1967 for the first release of Blow Up.
This poster is in very good condition, it was previously used in the cinema in Tokyo and has signs of use. There is a tear at the center top of the poster and pinholes from when it was displayed. We have included additional imagery to highlight this. In Japan, rather than restore posters, we like to keep them in their original used condition to retain it`s history. Once framed, this poster will display excellently.
This cult classic celebrates its 54th anniversary this year. It was directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, and is about a fashion photographer, played by David Hemmings, who captures a murder on film whilst taking photos in a deserted park. The film also stars Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Miles, John Castle and Jane Birkin.
The design on this Japanese poster is certainly one of the coolest images for this 1960s classic.
