"Kiki’s Delivery Service" (魔女の宅急便), Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1989, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O383

Sale price $350.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed for Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved Studio Ghibli feature Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), distributed domestically by Toei. Set in the sun-washed port city of Koriko, the film follows 13-year-old witch Kiki and her cat Jiji as she finds her independence running an air-courier service from a friendly neighborhood bakery.

Design
The quintessential bakery-window key art: Kiki and Jiji rest their chins on the counter as rows of rustic loaves glow behind them, while a subtle shop-front reflection anchors the lower register. Warm browns and honeyed light capture the film’s gentle, everyday magic—one of the most recognizable Ghibli poster images.

Condition
Excellent. Please review the photos—they show the exact poster for sale.

Authenticity
Important note: many official modern reproductions of this design circulate (often sold inexpensively in Ghibli stores). The example offered here is 100% an original theatrical printing (first-issue batch, 1997 code)—not a later shop reprint—so you can buy with confidence.

This poster is an original Japanese theatrical B2 from the 1989 first-release campaign.
It is not a reproduction or a reprint.
