This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1970 for the first theatrical release of Sukeban Blues: Mesu-Bachi no Chosen (女番長ブルース 牝蜂の挑戦), a Toei “sukeban” (delinquent girl boss) action film starring Reiko Oshida.

The sukeban subgenre was a cornerstone of Toei’s exploitation cinema in the late 1960s and 1970s, combining youth rebellion, gang rivalries, and provocative style. Reiko Oshida became one of the defining stars of the era, embodying the tough-yet-charismatic gang leader figure. These films tapped into contemporary anxieties and fascinations with female empowerment, delinquency, and sexuality, making them enduring cult classics.
