This is an original Japanese pamphlet-poster from the first release of The War of the Gargantuas.
The War of the Gargantuas is a 1966 kaiju film directed by Ishirō Honda, serving as a sequel to Frankenstein Conquers the World. A Japanese-American co-production, it marked the final collaboration between Toho and Henry G. Saperstein. The story follows scientists investigating two giant humanoid monsters—Sanda and Gaira—whose conflict escalates into a destructive battle in Tokyo.
The film, featuring special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya and starring Russ Tamblyn, Kumi Mizuno, and Kenji Sahara, was released in Japan in 1966 and later in the U.S. in 1970 as a double feature with Monster Zero. Over time, it has gained cult status, earning praise from filmmakers like Brad Pitt, Quentin Tarantino, Guillermo del Toro, and Tim Burton.
