This is an original Japanese FRAMED pamphlet-poster from the first release of The Hidden Fortress in 1958.

The artwork for the poster is set in a cream-colored mount and dark brown frame, complementing its design fantastically. The poster is extremely rare and in demand by collectors of Akira Kurosawa.

This size of poster can be displayed anywhere, it is ideal for an office desk, or at home. This poster comes framed and will make a beautiful gift for family, friend or.... yourself!

This is a vintage Japanese movie program or flyer for "The Hidden Fortress" (隠し砦の三悪人, Kakushi Toride no San Akunin), a 1958 samurai adventure film directed by Akira Kurosawa and produced by Toho.

The film’s title, "隠し砦の三悪人", appears at the bottom in red, translating to The Three Villains of the Hidden Fortress. The "TohoScope" logo at the top indicates that this was filmed in Toho’s widescreen format, a major feature of Kurosawa’s epic productions.

One of Akira Kurosawa’s greatest films, The Hidden Fortress follows a general (Toshiro Mifune) who must protect a princess (Misa Uehara) and her clan’s secret treasure while evading enemy forces. The film is famous for its blend of action, humor, and adventure, and it served as a major inspiration for George Lucas' Star Wars (1977), particularly in its use of two comical peasants as storytelling devices.

This Japanese first-release movie program is a highly collectible piece of samurai cinema memorabilia, featuring a bold, colorful illustration of Mifune and Uehara. Given The Hidden Fortress’s influence on world cinema and Kurosawa’s legendary status, this is an important and desirable artifact for collectors.
