This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1983 for the first release of Return of the Jedi (affectionately known to collectors as "Nova" or "Starfall").
This is a very special and ultra rare poster, produced under license to Yamakatsu and sold / given away exclusively to the public at cinemas where the film was first shown in Japan. Noriyoshi Ohrai`s fantastic artwork is now a thing of legends and was so superior that the poster was often displayed alongside the studio release poster. R2-D2 and C3P0 stand calmly and without emotion in front of an exploding nebula, in readiness to sacrifice and provide their humble services in order to save the universe!
This poster is in very good condition. There is some light damage on the right side. Please refer to the imagery (both front and back) as this is the exact poster that is for sale.
