This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1955 for the first release of Summertime.
The artwork for this poster is by the acclaimed Hisamatsu Noguchi. After graduating from Tokyo Fine Arts School (present-day Tokyo University of the Arts) in 1933 Hisamitsu Noguchi (1909-1994) went to work for one of Japan’s largest film distribution companies creating Japan-market movie posters for European films. Noguchi became known for his hand-drawn movie titles that matched the theme or mood of the movie. Over the course of his 30-year career, Noguchi designed over 1000 posters becoming one of the most influential graphic designers of his time. He also worked as a jazz music critic, designing graphics and taking photos related to jazz.
Summertime (released in the United Kingdom as Summer Madness) is a 1955 Technicolor romance film directed by David Lean from a screenplay he co-write with H.E. Bates, based on the play The Time of the Cuckoo by Arthur Laurents. The film stars Katharine Hepburn, Rossano Brazzi, Darren McGavin, and Isa Miranda. (Source Wikipedia)
