This is an original Japanese poster from the release of The Wrong Man.
This is our only copy in stock and we doubt that another will surface for a very long time.
It is the first time we have seen this poster in Japan and believe that it has not sold in any of the major western auctions. This poster was purchased along with a wider collection including many Alfred Hitchcock, not only did this collector have seriously good taste, most if not all of his almost 70 year old posters are in an incredible near mint condition.
It is one of the few Hitchcock films based on a true story and whose plot closely follows the real-life events.
The Wrong Man had a notable effect on two significant directors: it prompted Jean-Luc Godard's longest piece of written criticism in his years as a critic, and it has been cited as an influence on Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver.
