This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed for the 1982 domestic re-release of Walt Disney’s beloved classic Cinderella. Issued for the (文部省特選・日本語版) education-recommended, Japanese-dubbed run, the sheet reintroduced the 1950 fairy-tale landmark to a new generation of theatergoers in Japan.
Design
A sparkling storybook tableau: Cinderella and the Prince dance atop a giant clock face as midnight nears; a comet-like fairy trail arcs across a starry sky from the distant castle. Along the base, the mice—Jaq, Gus and friends—present the glass slipper, while Lucifer lurks at right and the pumpkin coach charges in at left. The bold red hiragana title 「シンデレラ」 anchors the composition, with small bilingual logos/credits and 映倫 seal confirming official release.
