This is an original, previously-folded, humungous Japanese B0 movie poster from 1980 for the first release of Kagemusha. This size is the one of the most desirable and rarest one for the movie.

To put it simply, this poster is BADASS and very rare.

This poster is in excellent condition and been stored folded very carefully for over 41 years. Please review the imagery as this is the exact poster that you will be purchasing. The fold lines can be flattened out prior to framing to minimize their visual impact significantly.

Kagemusha (影武者, Shadow Warrior) is a 1980 jidaigeki film directed by Akira Kurosawa. Kagemusha is the Japanese term for a political decoy, literally meaning "shadow warrior". It is set in the Sengoku period of Japanese history and tells the story of a lower-class criminal who is taught to impersonate a dying daimyō to dissuade opposing lords from attacking the newly vulnerable clan. The daimyō is based on Takeda Shingen, and the film ends with the climactic 1575 Battle of Nagashino.

The film won the Palme d'Or at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival (tied with All That Jazz). It was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and received other honours. (Source Wikipedia)
