"Kill Bill", Original Release Japanese B2 Ticket Poster 2003, B2 Ticket Poster Size (c.51 cm × 80 cm) O662

Sale price $650.00

This is an original Japanese poster printed in 2003 for the first Japanese theatrical release of Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (キル・ビル) — Quentin Tarantino’s fourth feature, distributed in Japan by GAGA (GAGA Communications / GAGA Humax) and released theatrically on 25 October 2003.

Film background
After a brutal attack at her wedding leaves her in a coma, “The Bride” awakens years later and begins a relentless revenge odyssey—tracking down her former comrades and their boss, Bill. Packed with martial-arts cinema homage (and key Japanese connections, including Sonny Chiba as legendary swordsmith Hattori Hanzō), this is the first instalment of Tarantino’s two-part saga.

Poster design

- Printed in a B2-format “ticket poster” configuration (extended height to include the detachable voucher strip), this design features:

- The iconic yellow Bride imagery—Uma Thurman in the tracksuit with katana raised—framed by a stark black cross slashed with red, perfectly matching the film’s pop-art violence and revenge theme.

- Bold red typography (“Uma Thurman / KILL BILL”) with “The 4th Film by Quentin Tarantino”, the release callout “2003.October”, and the original killbill.jp URL.

- The ultra-collectable, still-attached 特別ご鑑賞券 (“Special Viewing Ticket”) panel at lower right, printed with the original ¥1300 price—promoted in Japan as a “poster-type special viewing ticket” (ポスター型特別ご鑑賞券).

These ticket-posters were designed to have the voucher section cut off and redeemed, so surviving examples with the bottom section still intact are far less common than standard B2 posters.

This poster is in mint, unused condition, with the bottom ticket section still attached. Please refer to the imagery (both front and back) as this is the exact poster that is for sale.

We have never had this poster in our gallery before with the bottom still attached and in mint condition.

It is over 22 years old!

It is not a reproduction or a reprint.
Certificate of Authenticity included.
