“The Girl on a Motorcycle” (あの胸にもウちど), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1968 (film 1968), B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) P13

Sale price $275.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1968 for the first Japanese release of The Girl on a Motorcycle (released in Japan as あの胸にもウちど), the культ European romance-drama directed by Jack Cardiff and starring Marianne Faithfull opposite Alain Delon.

A quintessential late-1960s “continental” mood piece—part romance, part erotic reverie, part existential road movie—the film follows Faithfull’s character as she rides her motorcycle across Europe, drifting between memory, fantasy, and desire. It has become an enduring cult title, closely associated with the era’s fashion, music, and countercultural imagery.

Poster design
A beautifully atmospheric Japanese design: Faithfull stands front and centre in glossy black leathers, framed by a looming close-up of Delon’s face and a soft-focus romantic vignette—while the vertical English title the motorcyclett runs down the upper centre. The Japanese title あの胸にもウちど is rendered in expressive brush-like typography over a deep teal field, with the Tōwa mark present at the bottom. A striking, design-forward B2 that looks spectacular framed.

It is over 57 years old!
