"The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" (悪魔のいけにえ), Japanese Theatrical Poster for the 4K Digital Remaster / 50th Anniversary Release 2024, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O749

Sale price $150.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster produced in 2024 for the 4K digital remaster / 50th anniversary cinema release of Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (悪魔のいけにえ)—one of the most influential horror films ever made.

Film background
First released in 1974, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre helped define the grammar of modern horror: documentary-like realism, escalating dread, and a relentless sense of heat, noise, and panic. The film’s impact has only grown with time—its raw style and “found nightmare” intensity influencing generations of filmmakers and shaping the slasher and survival-horror traditions that followed. This 2024 remaster campaign celebrates the film’s legacy at the half-century mark.

Design
A striking, illustration-led anniversary design that leans into grindhouse energy and pulp intensity. Leatherface dominates the centre in a jagged, comic-book style rendering—mask, dead stare, and apron—framed by fragmented scene panels: a fleeing victim, a screaming close-up, a chaotic interior, the iconic van, and the film’s raw, sunbaked violence. The typography stack at lower right—THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE / 悪魔のいけにえ—is paired with the Japanese callout for the 4K digital remaster and 50th anniversary release, giving the sheet strong “event cinema” presence while still feeling aggressively faithful to the film’s exploitation roots.
