"Kids" (キッズ), Original Japanese 30th‑Anniversary Roadshow Movie Poster 2025, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O378

Sale price $200.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed for the nationwide roadshow beginning 10/17/2025 celebrating the 30th anniversary of Larry Clark’s groundbreaking 1995 debut Kids (written by Harmony Korine). Issued in very limited quantities for the revival screenings, this 2025 B2 is hard to find on the market at the moment.

Note: the additional image with dense Japanese text is the matching theater flyer (chirashi) for the same event and is shown to provide program details; it is included in the sale.

Design
Clean, high‑impact key art built around the four‑quadrant color mosaic of the main cast with the oversized title KIDS cutting through the grid. The lower field carries the English line “The Debut Film From Larry Clark,” with full production credits. The minimal white layout lets the pop‑art portraits do the talking—an elegant update for the anniversary roadshow while retaining the film’s iconic visual identity.

Cultural impact
Premiering in 1995, Kids detonated in world cinema with its raw, vérité portrait of New York teens over one sweltering day—skate culture, sex, drugs, and the HIV crisis seen without varnish. It launched the careers of Chloë Sevigny and Rosario Dawson, announced Harmony Korine as a formidable new voice, and sparked fierce debate about realism vs. exploitation. The soundtrack (led by The Folk Implosion’s “Natural One”) became a mid‑’90s touchstone, and the film’s street casting, documentary edge, and downtown aesthetic influenced independent filmmaking, youth photography, fashion, and music videos for decades after. The 2025 revival underlines how its themes still reverberate.
