This is an original Japanese B2 publicity poster printed in 1980 for the Nippon TV (NTV) broadcast of Osamu Tezuka’s Tetsuwan Atomu / Astro Boy (the color TV remake, 1980–81). Issued to promote the weekly nationwide airing—“テレビ放映中!! 毎週水曜日よる7時 日本テレビ系で放映！”—it also carries a tie-in bug for Shogakukan’s learning magazine “Terebikun”. Rights line: © NTV / 手塚プロ.
Design
Kinetic, manga-pure power: Astro rockets forward through a wall of stone, fist outstretched, his booster trail scorching the page in red and orange. A massive purple/yellow masthead「鉄腕アトム」crowns the scene, with the broadcast-banner slug in deep blue circles along the base. Clean black linework and watercolor textures channel classic Tezuka dynamism.
