“Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan” (ドラゴンボールZ 燃えつきろ!! 熱戦・烈戦・超激戦), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1993, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) K258
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1993 for the first theatrical release of Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan, produced by Toei Animation and issued for the Toei Anime Fair ’93 Spring. The header banner “鳥山明 THE WORLD 2” and round festival bug appear at top, confirming its domestic cinema use.
Film background
The eighth DBZ feature introduces Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan—an unstoppable foe luring Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, and Piccolo to “New Vegeta.” Explosive battles and high-energy set-pieces made the film a fan favorite, spawning two direct sequels in the 1990s and inspiring the 2018 canon revival Dragon Ball Super: Broly. It remains one of the franchise’s most celebrated theatrical entries.
Poster design
A scorching ensemble composition in classic Toriyama style: Super Saiyan Goku strides forward wreathed in golden aura, flanked by Vegeta, Future Trunks, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, and Master Roshi. Lightning-like ki effects blaze against a fiery red field, while the bold DRAGON BALL Z logo anchors the lower register above the Japanese title line 「燃えつきろ!! 熱戦・烈戦・超激戦」. The bright blue border and festival emblems give this sheet a distinctly theatrical, event-style presence.
