“Kiki’s Delivery Service” (魔女の宅急便), Original Japanese Soundtrack Promotion Poster 1992, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) N33
This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1992 for the soundtrack CD release of Kiki’s Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便).
Directed by Hayao Miyazaki and released by Studio Ghibli in 1989, Kiki’s Delivery Service follows the journey of Kiki, a young witch-in-training who moves to a coastal city to live independently and run an air courier service by broomstick. The film is a gentle, poignant meditation on adolescence, burnout, resilience, and self-worth—and remains one of Miyazaki’s most enduring and internationally celebrated works.
This beautiful B2-size poster was issued in 1992 as a special promotional piece for the Kiki’s Delivery Service Original Soundtrack Collection (魔女の宅急便 サントラ音楽集), released by Animage Records. Known informally as the “Kiki Resting” / “Kiki in Grass” design (キキ 寝転び), the artwork features a peaceful scene of Kiki lying in a summer meadow, gazing toward the clouds with a calm, contemplative expression. The handwritten vertical caption reads:
「おちこんだりもしたけれど、私はげんきです。」
(“I’ve had some rough times, but I’m doing okay.”)
One of the most iconic and beloved quotes in the Studio Ghibli universe.
