“Captain Future”, Original Japanese Promotional Poster c.1978–1979, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O40
This is an original Japanese promotional (販促) B2 poster issued by Toei Animation / 東映動画 for the late-1970s TV anime Captain Future—the screen adaptation of Edmond Hamilton’s pulp-SF hero that became a cult favorite in Japan and across Europe. The sheet carries the period © TOEI ANIMATION and the classic Toei bear logo at lower right. There is no Eirin mark or theatrical booking copy, consistent with a studio promotional poster rather than a cinema one-sheet.
Poster design
A dynamic space tableau: Captain Future stands front and center with ray gun drawn, flanked by his red-suited partner, with the Future Crew and their robots gathered behind. The starfield, lunar landscape, and departing spacecraft complete a bold, export-style composition with the simple English title “CAPTAIN FUTURE.” at upper left.
