This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1989 to promote the domestic release of Kiki’s Delivery Service, the Studio Ghibli film directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
Kiki’s Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便) is a beloved coming-of-age fantasy based on the novel by Eiko Kadono. It follows Kiki, a young witch who leaves home to train and start her own delivery service, accompanied by her loyal black cat, Jiji. First released in 1989, the film was a major success in Japan and has since become one of Studio Ghibli’s most cherished titles worldwide.
This promotional poster features Kiki smiling with her broom over her shoulder and Jiji perched on a stone wall, with sun-washed European rooftops in the background. The lower-right margin carries the official rights line and the product/print code “300-G-B”.
