“Pokémon the Movie 2001: Celebi – A Timeless Encounter” (劇場版ポケットモンスター セレビィ 時を超えた遭遇), Original Japanese Movie Poster 2001, Toho First Release, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O148
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 2001 for the first domestic theatrical release of Pokémon the Movie: Celebi – A Timeless Encounter (劇場版ポケットモンスター セレビィ 時を超えた遭遇), directed by Kunihiko Yuyama and produced by OLM, released in Japan by Toho. First-issue Japanese one-sheets for early Pokémon features are highly collectible.
Film background
Ash, Misty, and Brock encounter the time-traveling Mythical Pokémon Celebi, who has leapt forward forty years with a boy named Sam. Hunted by the Iron-Masked Marauder of Team Rocket—wielding “Dark Balls” that corrupt Pokémon—the group must protect Celebi and restore the forest, with a legendary appearance by Suicune.
Poster design
An explosive, kid-appeal country sheet: a huge, luminous Celebi bursts from a time vortex at center, with Pikachu leaping at right and Suicune charging at upper right. Along the base, the Japanese logotype 「セレビィ/時を超えた遭遇」 sits above the English subtitle CELEBI A TIMELESS ENCOUNTER, flanked by character cameos (Iron-Masked Marauder, Team Rocket, Ash & friends). Toho crediting and the Eirin mark run along the footer—classic hallmarks of a first-release sheet with vibrant wall presence.
