“Star Wars: Battle of Darth Vader” (FEVER STAR WARS バトル・オブ・ダース・ベイダー), Original Licensed Japanese B1 Poster c.2000s, B1 Size (72 × 103 cm)

This is an original Japanese B1 poster produced under license by Lucasfilm Ltd. for the Sankyo “Fever Star Wars” pachinko (パチンコ) machine campaign, titled Battle of Darth Vader. These large-format posters were distributed exclusively to pachinko parlors across Japan to promote the release and were never sold to the public, making them exceptionally scarce in today’s collector market.

A bold, cosmic composition dominated by Darth Vader’s iconic helmet and crimson lightsaber, set against a glowing purple nebula filled with meteors. The golden embossed STAR WARS logo and subtitle Battle of Darth Vader anchor the design. At upper left, the Sankyo corporate logo and slogan “Good luck. Good life.” are printed, marking this as part of the pachinko-specific advertising line. The Japanese tagline to Vader’s right proclaims: 「最強は私だ！」 (“I am the strongest!”).

Unlike theatrical Star Wars one-sheets, these pachinko tie-in posters were printed in small numbers and intended only for short-term display in pachinko halls. Surviving examples in this large B1 size are especially rare, highly sought after by both Star Wars and Japanese advertising collectors.
