This is an original Japanese B3 poster issued in Japan for the 1978 theatrical re-release of Stanley Kubrick’s monumental science-fiction masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)—starring Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood, and adapted from Arthur C. Clarke’s story (with Clarke co-writing the screenplay).

A genuine cornerstone of world cinema, 2001 remains one of the most influential films ever made—redefining what science fiction could be in scale, seriousness, and visual ambition.
