This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster produced for the digital-remaster revival release of Serge Gainsbourg’s notorious 1976 cult film Je t’aime… moi non plus (released in Japan as ジュ・テーム・モワ・ノン・プリュ). This exact digital-remaster re-release opened in Japan on 5 June 2010, launched as part of the Shinjuku Musashinokan 90th Anniversary programme.
Directed by Serge Gainsbourg and starring Jane Birkin alongside Joe Dallesandro, the film has long been regarded as one of the most provocative and controversial European titles of its era. In Japan it was first released theatrically in 1983 under the shortened title ジュ・テーム…, with later revivals using the full title ジュ・テーム・モワ・ノン・プリュ.
Poster design
A bold, high-impact modernist design dominated by a fluorescent yellow field, hot-pink title panel, and stark black bands—featuring the French typography je t’aime moi non plus, crediting JANE BIRKIN and SERGE GAINSBOURG, and anchored by the iconic embrace image at the lower centre. The bottom text on this Japanese issue corresponds to the 2010 digital-remaster release details (including the Japanese distribution credit).
