“Most / The Bridge” (最後の鉄橋), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1970, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O782

Sale price $110.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster issued for the release of the Yugoslav war-action film Most (widely known in English as The Bridge), released in Japan under the title 最後の鉄橋. A classic piece of late-1960s/early-1970s Yugoslav “partisan cinema,” this poster is a dramatic, high-impact design that very rarely survives in strong display condition.

Film background
Produced in Yugoslavia, Most is a high-stakes wartime action thriller centred on a desperate mission to destroy a strategically vital bridge before the enemy can use it—an all-or-nothing operation built around sabotage, sacrifice, and escalating battlefield chaos. Directed by Hajrudin Krvavac, the film is part of the era when Yugoslav war pictures became international hits, prized for their scale, practical explosions, and relentless set-piece momentum. Starring Bata Živojinović, Boris Dvornik, and Slobodan Dimitrijević, it remains one of the standout “bridge mission” films of the period.

Poster design
A spectacular, explosive montage dominated by the bridge itself—caught mid-detonation as fire and smoke billow outward in a wall of destruction. Below, soldiers are blasted off their feet in the shockwave, while tanks and battlefield hardware press into the frame, selling the film as pure large-scale combat spectacle. The Japanese title 「最後の鉄橋」 is rendered in aggressive, brush-stroke red calligraphy across the bottom, contrasted by the stark green MOST at top left—simple typography choices that amplify the violence and urgency of the imagery. It’s the quintessential “war-action” B2: dramatic perspective, real pyrotechnic scale, and instant wall impact.
