This is an original Japanese STB tatekan theatrical poster printed in 1973 for the Japanese re-release of The Professionals (プロフェッショナル), Richard Brooks’ classic action-western starring Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Jack Palance, Ralph Bellamy, Woody Strode, and Claudia Cardinale (all credited on the design).

This tall, wall-dominant STB format was produced in far lower quantities than standard B2 posters, making it significantly scarcer—especially for major international titles with lasting collector demand.

Poster design
A powerful, two-part Japanese tatekan design: the upper panel features a dramatic illustrated montage (gunfights, action set-pieces, and the film’s key faces), while the lower panel is dominated by the bold vertical title プロフェッショナル, with period-format call-outs including テクニカラー・パナビジョン (Technicolor / Panavision) and prominent cast billing. A superb, graphic 1970s Japanese presentation that displays beautifully at full height.

It is over 52 years old!
