This is an original licensed promotional (販促) B2 poster produced in 1988 in Japan for Hayao Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro (となりのトトロ). Issued for retail/bookstore and merchandise display (not a cinema one-sheet), it carries period rights for Nibariki / Tokuma Shoten and was distributed by Animage / Tokuma Japan Corporation as part of the film’s original-era promotion.

Poster design
A beautiful, unusually soft “watercolour sketch” style image: Ō-Totoro floats through a misty, cloud-like field with Mei and Satsuki nestled against him—an airy, dreamlike composition that feels closer to a concept illustration than a standard commercial poster. The English title MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO sits cleanly at the top right, while the lower margin carries the period ANIMAGE RECORDS / Tokuma Japan Corporation credit line—subtle, elegant, and extremely displayable.
