This poster is very rare and only printed and issued in November and December 1987 (five months before the film reached cinemas!)

My Neighbor Totoro (Japanese: となりのトトロ, Tonari no Totoro) is a 1988 animated fantasy written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. Set in 1950s rural Japan, the story follows sisters Satsuki and Mei as they encounter forest spirits, including the gentle giant Totoro, after moving to the countryside. Praised for its hand-drawn animation, environmental themes, and Joe Hisaishi’s iconic score, the film became a cultural touchstone and cemented Totoro as Studio Ghibli’s mascot.
