“Godzilla vs Destoroyah” (ゴジラvsデストロイア), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1995, Rare, B1 Size (c. 73 × 103 cm)

Sale price $250.00

This is an original Japanese B1 poster printed in 1995 for the first domestic theatrical release of Godzilla vs Destoroyah, the climactic finale to the Heisei era produced by Toho. Posters in this large B1 format—double the size of a standard B2—are exceptionally hard to find, even in Japan.

Film background
As meltdown threatens Godzilla, a new terror born from the Oxygen Destroyer—Destoroyah—emerges to lay waste to Hong Kong and challenge a superheated, burning Godzilla. The film closed the Heisei cycle with operatic stakes, cutting-edge suitmation/miniature effects, and an emotional father-son thread with Godzilla Junior.

Poster design
A stark black field sets the stage: crimson, horned Destoroyah looms at left while a Burning Godzilla roars at center, steam billowing from his glowing chest. The towering white copy at left (“ゴジラ死す”) and the bold, fissured yellow title 「ゴジラvsデストロイア」 over a blazing cityscape deliver pure end-of-an-era drama. Toho/film credits and campaign seals appear along the border—classic hallmarks of an authentic 1995 country sheet.
