“Studio Ghibli Calendar 1993 (Animage Records)” (スタジオジブリ 1993 カレンダー), Original Japanese Promotional Poster 1992, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O192
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1992 to promote the 1993 Studio Ghibli calendar from Animage Records (Animage logo and Tokuma Japan Communications credit printed at lower left; multi-title copyright line along the bottom). Early ’90s Animage/Ghibli promotional sheets are highly collectible.
Film background
The artwork celebrates multiple Ghibli masterpieces from the late ’80s–early ’90s: Porco Rosso, Kiki’s Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and Castle in the Sky (Laputa)—a snapshot of the studio’s sky-bound imagination during its golden era.
Poster design
A joyous sky-blue calendar sheet (January–June 1993) with flying vignettes: Porco’s scarlet Savoia banks overhead; Kiki and Jiji sweep past on broom; Nausicaä dives on her mehve; Totoro floats by umbrella carrying Satsuki & Mei; Pazu & Sheeta ride their flyer. Clean calendar blocks and the magenta “1993” center mark complete the layout—classic hallmarks of an authentic Animage promotional issue with bright display appeal.
