“BIOHAZARD -CODE:Veronica- Kanzenban” (バイオハザード コード:ベロニカ 完全版), Original Japanese Store Promotional Poster 2001, B1 Size (72.8 x 103cm)

Sale price $1,150.00

This is an original Japanese B1 store promotional poster printed in 2001 for Capcom’s BIOHAZARD -CODE:Veronica- Kanzenban, the PlayStation 2 shop-display campaign poster for the Complete Version release of CODE: Veronica. Produced for Japanese retail display, the poster advertises the title’s 22 March 2001 on-sale date, with the striking on-poster “3.22 ON SALE” dateline and ¥6,800 (tax excluded) price printed along the lower edge. Capcom’s own April 2001 press material refers to Biohazard Code: Veronica Kanzenban as the then-latest series title released on 22 March 2001, while Capcom’s English-language company materials identify the same PS2 edition as Resident Evil Code Veronica X.

Product background
Released at a pivotal moment in the franchise, CODE: Veronica first appeared on the Dreamcast in February 2000, before returning in March 2001 in Complete Version / Kanzenban form. Capcom’s own sales records list the Dreamcast original separately from the later Biohazard Code: Veronica Kanzenban release, underlining the latter’s status as a distinct launch in the series’ move into the early PlayStation 2 era. Capcom later counted Biohazard Code: Veronica Kanzenban among its million-selling titles, giving original launch-period material for the game added historical weight.

As a store-display poster rather than packaged software, this is an especially ephemeral survivor. Japanese retail promotional posters were made for short-term advertising use and were rarely preserved with the same care as boxed games, particularly in the larger shop-display formats.

Poster design
A stark and highly atmospheric Capcom promotional design, dominated almost entirely by an extreme close-up of a human eye rendered in unsettling photographic detail. The composition is stripped back to essentials: Capcom branding at upper left, PlayStation 2 branding at upper right, the huge “3.22 ON SALE” line at left, and the red-and-white BIOHAZARD -CODE:Veronica- 完全版 title block at lower right. The result is bold, minimalist, and psychologically charged—closer to a horror teaser image than a conventional character poster.

Rarity and significance
At full Japanese B1 size, this is a major-format trade poster with exceptional wall presence. Because it is tied specifically to the 22 March 2001 launch campaign for Biohazard Code: Veronica Kanzenban / Resident Evil Code Veronica X, and because Capcom later listed the title among its million-selling releases, it stands as a particularly strong piece of Japanese Biohazard marketing from the series’ transition into the PlayStation 2 period. For collectors of Resident Evil / Biohazard, Capcom history, Japanese video-game advertising, and early-2000s survival-horror material, this is one of the most memorable and visually arresting campaign designs of the era.

Condition
Near Mint / Excellent. The poster presents exceptionally well overall, with rich colour, deep blacks, glossy surface impact, and excellent display presence. Please review the photos—they show the exact poster for sale.
