"Olympia" (民族の祭典 / Olympia – Fest der Völker), Original Re-Release Japanese Movie Poster 1975, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) M123
This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1975 for a theatrical revival of Olympia, the landmark 1938 documentary of the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games directed by Leni Riefenstahl. The two-part film—Festival of the Nations (Fest der Völker) and Festival of Beauty (Fest der Schönheit)—pioneered slow-motion, tracking, and underwater cinematography to celebrate athletic form and motion. While later viewed through the lens of its Nazi-era sponsorship, Olympia remains one of the most influential sports films ever made, setting visual standards for Olympic coverage and earning a 1948 award from the IOC for its artistic merit.
It is nearly 50 years old!
