This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1973 for the first release of Snoopy Come Home (スヌーピーの大冒険)—the beloved Peanuts feature that sends Snoopy on a bittersweet journey away from Charlie Brown and the gang. Warm, gentle, and quietly emotional, it’s one of the most nostalgic animated films of the era and a true cornerstone title for Peanuts collectors.

Film background
Released in 1972 and issued theatrically in Japan in 1973, Snoopy Come Home is the second Peanuts feature film. The story follows Snoopy after he learns his original owner is ill—prompting him to leave home and set off on an adventure that’s equal parts charming and surprisingly moving. Along the way we get classic Schulz humour, beautifully clean animation, and that unmistakable early-’70s Peanuts mood: simple, sincere, and timeless.

Poster design
A superb, graphic Japanese campaign design dominated by a huge, smiling Snoopy portrait framed in a circular vignette, with Woodstock perched proudly on his red doghouse at the top. Around the rim, small character cameos (Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, and friends) create a playful “gallery” effect—bright, clean colour blocks with bold Japanese title typography スヌーピーの大冒険 and the English title SNOOPY, COME HOME!. It’s an instantly displayable piece—pure Peanuts joy, perfectly scaled to the B2 format.

Condition
Very Good / Excellent. This poster was previously folded, and has since been stored flat for many years, resulting in a clean, display-ready sheet. Light fold lines may be visible on close inspection, but the overall presentation is excellent. We have taken the condition into account when pricing this item.
