This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1977 for Toei’s cult kaiju-disaster spectacle Legend of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds (恐竜・怪鳥の伝説), directed by Junji Kurata. Set around Lake Motosu beneath Mt. Fuji, the film unleashes a plesiosaur-like beast from the depths and a giant pterosaur in the skies—colliding in a gleefully apocalyptic showdown.
Design
A thunderous painted composition: a blood-streaked pterosaur claws at a surfacing lake monster amid storm seas, lightning and Mt. Fuji looming behind. Along the base, three photo stills preview creature mayhem and terrified onlookers, while the jagged, carved-rock title 「恐竜・怪鳥の伝説」 roars across the bottom. English slug LEGEND OF DINOSAURS AND MONSTER BIRDS appears at right—pure late-’70s Toei energy.
