Explore Japan Poster Shop’s extensive collection of original Japanese B2 movie posters, featuring thousands of authentic theatrical posters spanning the history of Japanese and international cinema.
The Japanese B2 format (approximately 51 × 73 cm / 20 × 29 inches) is the standard size traditionally used for theatrical film advertising in Japan. Comparable in purpose to the American one-sheet, B2 posters have become one of the most widely collected formats of Japanese cinema memorabilia, celebrated for their distinctive artwork, exceptional graphic design and manageable display size.
Our collection encompasses original Japanese theatrical posters from the 1950s through to the present day, including rare first-release examples, advance promotional designs, unused posters, limited-distribution variants and historically significant cinema advertising material.
Discover original Japanese B2 posters for celebrated films and franchises including Star Wars, James Bond, Godzilla, Akira, Studio Ghibli and the works of legendary filmmakers such as Akira Kurosawa, Yasujirō Ozu, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Hayao Miyazaki and many others.
Of particular interest to collectors are our rare early theatrical releases, exceptionally scarce Japanese designs, vintage horror and science-fiction posters, anime classics and important works of Japanese cinema. Many surviving examples retain their original folds, period cinema markings or other characteristics reflecting their authentic theatrical history, while others remain in exceptional unused condition.
The Japanese B2 format offers an ideal balance of visual impact, collectibility and practicality, making these original posters particularly suitable for framing and display in private collections, galleries and interiors.
Every poster offered by Japan Poster Shop is an authentic original, carefully sourced in Japan and individually catalogued. We do not sell reproductions. All posters are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, with worldwide DHL Express shipping available from our gallery in Tokyo.
