"Battles Without Honor and Humanity", Original Release Japanese Speed Poster 1973, Speed Poster Size (c.26 cm × 75 cm) N48
This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1973 for the first release of Battles Without Honor and Humanity (仁義なき戦い), Kinji Fukasaku’s groundbreaking yakuza epic.
Based on the memoirs of real Hiroshima gangster Kōzō Minō, Battles Without Honor and Humanity shattered the romantic ninkyō mold with documentary-style violence and political cynicism, charting the chaotic post-war turf wars of 1946–56. Its raw energy redefined the genre much as The Godfather did for American gangster cinema, spawning four direct sequels in just two years.
Speed posters were produced in far smaller quantities than standard B2s, making surviving examples for this seminal title exceptionally scarce and highly sought after.
