Original Japanese Clint Eastwood Movie Posters

Clint Eastwood (born 1930) is one of the most celebrated actors and directors in cinema history, whose career spans more than seven decades. Renowned for his commanding screen presence, understated performances and distinctive filmmaking style, Eastwood has become an enduring figure in American cinema and one of the defining icons of the Western genre.

Eastwood achieved international recognition through his collaborations with Sergio Leone, starring as the enigmatic Man with No Name in the celebrated Dollars Trilogy: A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965) and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). These landmark spaghetti Westerns transformed the genre and established Eastwood as an international star. His subsequent career included the Dirty Harry series, The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), Unforgiven (1992), Million Dollar Baby (2004) and Gran Torino (2008), among numerous other acclaimed productions.

The Clint Eastwood collection is one of the important strengths of Japan Poster Shop, bringing together an extensive selection of original Japanese theatrical movie posters spanning his earliest spaghetti Westerns through to his later career as an actor and director. Particularly significant are our rare Japanese first-release posters for the Sergio Leone Dollars Trilogy, alongside original B2 one-sheets, scarce STB Tatekan posters and larger theatrical advertising formats.

Japanese posters for Eastwood’s films are especially admired for their distinctive artwork, dramatic compositions and bold Japanese typography. Original first-release examples from the 1960s and 1970s are increasingly difficult to obtain, particularly in excellent condition, while rare oversized theatrical formats are especially sought after by serious collectors.

From the revolutionary Westerns of Sergio Leone to the crime thrillers, dramas and later directorial achievements that defined his extraordinary career, this collection offers an extensive survey of Clint Eastwood’s cinematic legacy through original Japanese poster art, including scarce first-release examples and significant pieces of cinema history.
