This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1975 for the first release of A Haunted Turkish Bathhouse.

A Haunted Turkish Bathhouse (Japanese title: 怪猫トルコ風呂, Kaibyō Toruko Furo) is a 1975 Japanese erotic-horror kaibyō eiga directed by Kazuhiko Yamaguchi (山口和彦) and produced by Tōei. Starring pinku-eiga icon Naomi Tani alongside Misa Ōhara, the film transplants the traditional “ghost-cat” revenge legend into the steamy world of a modern soap-land brothel.

The plot follows Yukino, a woman forced into a Turkish bathhouse to pay her gambler husband’s debts. Betrayed, abused, and ultimately murdered, she returns as a shape-shifting bakeneko—her spirit merging with a black cat that prowls the brothel’s labyrinth of private rooms. One by one, the men who wronged her are lured into soapy trysts that erupt into blood-spattered vengeance, mixing lurid exploitation with supernatural terror. With surreal bubble-bath set pieces, lurid cinematography, and a pulsing 1970s funk-horror score, Yamaguchi delivers a wild fusion of pinku sleaze and kaidan chills that has since achieved cult status among Japanese genre aficionados.
