This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1967 for the first release of Zatoichi's Cane Sword.
This almost 5′ tall STB poster features fantastic artwork. The tatekan STB format had much lower print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. They are very rare, especially for more popular film titles, and are highly sought after by collectors today.
In this chapter, Zatoichi’s famous cane sword is found to be fatally flawed, forcing the blind swordsman to face danger without his most trusted weapon. Combining dramatic swordplay, emotional depth, and Katsu’s charismatic performance, this entry is a standout in the chanbara (sword-fighting) genre.
