This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1980 for the re-release of Mothra vs. Godzilla.
Directed by Ishirō Honda with effects legend Eiji Tsuburaya, the fourth Godzilla entry pits the King of the Monsters against the benevolent guardian Mothra. The 1980 revival formed part of Toho’s Champion Festival programme, introducing a new generation of kaijū fans to the classic Showa-era epic.
Illustrated, almost story-book rendering of Godzilla’s scaly profile looming across a star-strewn midnight sky.
