This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1984 for the first theatrical release of The Toxic Avenger, Troma’s cult splatter-comedy directed by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz. Billed domestically as “the first super-hero from New Jersey,” the film follows meek mop-boy Melvin who mutates into the vigilante “Toxie,” defending Tromaville with grotesque gusto.
