This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1968 for the first re-release of Atragon.
This almost 5′ tall STB poster is one of the best for the film. It is in excellent, near mint condition.
The tatekan STB format had much lower print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. They are very rare, especially for more popular film titles, and are highly sought after by collectors today.
Atragon (海底軍艦 Kaitei Gunkan, lit. Undersea Warship) is a 1963 tokusatsu science-fiction fantasy film produced by Toho, loosely based on the 1900 Japanese adventure novel The Undersea Warship: A Fantastic Tale of Island Adventure written by Shunro Oshikawa. The film was released to Japanese theaters on December 22, 1963 and to American theaters in December 1964.
