“Chouriki Sentai Ohranger” (超力戦隊オーレンジャー), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1995, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) Q35
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1995 for the first theatrical release of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger (超力戦隊オーレンジャー), Toei’s big-screen entry in the long-running Super Sentai franchise. The film was released in Japan on 15 April 1995, ran approximately 40 minutes, and was presented as a 20th anniversary commemorative work within the Sentai series. It was directed by Yoshiaki Kobayashi, written by Shōzō Uehara, with special effects direction by Hiroshi Butsuda and music by Seiji Yokoyama.
Film background
Chouriki Sentai Ohranger belongs to the 1995–96 television cycle of the same name, produced by Toei for TV Asahi, in which five chosen young warriors battle the Machine Empire Baranoia. The theatrical film stars Masaru Shishido, Kunio Masaoka, Masashi Goda, Ayumi Asō, and Tamao Satō, and revolves around the Ohrangers confronting a new threat while protecting children drawn into a deadly staged “movie set” engineered by the enemy. As both a theatrical spin-off and a franchise celebration, it occupies a distinctive place in 1990s tokusatsu history.
Poster design
This is a superb and highly graphic original release design. The composition is built around the five Ohranger helmets, each isolated against a bold vertical colour field, creating an immediate sense of symmetry, identity, and team power. Below, the full group stands before a radiant circular emblem, framed by crackling energy and anchored by the large red-and-gold title block. The result is clean, iconic, and unmistakably mid-1990s Sentai design—bright, toyetic, and tremendously displayable. It is an especially attractive country-of-origin poster for collectors of Super Sentai, tokusatsu, and Japanese popular culture.
