“Yakuza 5” (龍が如く5 夢、叶えし者), Original Japanese Video Game Promotional Poster 2012, Osaka Version, SEGA / PlayStation 3, B2 Format (c. 51 × 73 cm) — T153
This is an original Japanese B2 promotional poster for Yakuza 5, originally titled Ryū ga Gotoku 5: Yume, Kanaeshi Mono. Produced for the game’s original 2012 PlayStation 3 campaign, this regional version spotlights Osaka. The game was released in Japan on 6 December 2012.
The story follows four men and one young woman across five Japanese cities: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, and Fukuoka. Its interwoven drama centres on the characters’ different ambitions and dreams, set against the threat of a major conflict between criminal organisations.
Osaka is represented by the fictional entertainment district of Sōtenbori, which returns from Yakuza 2 in newly detailed form. The poster’s regional message is announced in large vertical lettering:
「大阪が、ついに登場!」
“Osaka finally appears!”
A striking close-up portrait dominates the design, set against a monochrome streetscape of signs and storefronts. The restrained palette of black, cream, and grey is punctuated by the red brushstroke behind the game’s 龍が如く5 logo, giving the poster a dramatic, cinematic presence.
Beneath the title appears the Japanese subtitle:
「夢、叶えし者」
“Those Who Fulfil Their Dreams.”
A row of images along the bottom presents all five city settings, labelled Sapporo / Tsukimino, Tokyo / Kamurocho, Nagoya / Kin’eichō, Osaka / Sōtenbori, and Fukuoka / Nagasu-gai. PlayStation 3 branding appears at the upper left, with the Ryū ga Gotoku Studio logo at the upper right and SEGA branding below. The Osaka emphasis and five-city layout make this a distinctive example for collectors of Yakuza / Like a Dragon, SEGA, PlayStation, and Japanese video game advertising.
