“A View to a Kill” (美しき獲物たち), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1985, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) ZA994

Sale price $125.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1985 for the first Japanese release of A View to a Kill (美しき獲物たち), the 14th James Bond film, starring Roger Moore as 007.

Featuring an iconic mid-’80s Bond blend of globe-trotting action and pop spectacle, the film pairs Bond with Grace Jones (as the unforgettable May Day) and Tanya Roberts, and delivers major set-pieces spanning Paris, Iceland, and San Francisco—including the Golden Gate Bridge sequence highlighted on this sheet.

Poster design
A superb, high-impact Japanese layout combining two classic campaign images: the illustrated portrait pairing of Bond and May Day at left, and the dramatic Golden Gate action tableau at right—airship overhead, Bond and the heroine poised on the bridge structure, and San Francisco below. The bold header copy sells it as Bond’s “strongest enemy showdown,” while the striking Japanese title 美しき獲物たち anchors the bottom alongside the 007 logo and “シリーズ最新第14弾” callout. Exceptionally frameable and one of the strongest Japanese designs for the film.

It is over 39 years old!
