“Battles Without Honor and Humanity” Series Marathon Poster (仁義なき戦い 大会), Original Japanese Promotional Movie Poster 1974, Very Rare Variant, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) P66

Sale price $350.00

This is an original Japanese B2 promotional poster for “仁義なき戦い 大会” (Jingi naki Tatakai Taikai), a special “event” / marathon-style presentation associated with Kinji Fukasaku’s landmark Battles Without Honor and Humanity cycle starring Sugawara Bunta. The term 大会 (“Taikai”) is used in Japan for special, one-off screening events—most famously for all-five-films marathon presentations that began during the original run era (notably around the time the five-part saga was completed).

Design
A spectacular, high-impact campaign image: Sugawara’s tattooed yakuza stands waist-deep in black water, katana raised, frozen in a moment of imminent violence. The huge red brush-script title 「仁義なき戦い」 detonates across the lower field, while the bold diagonal green label 「大会」 stamps the poster as an event-style release rather than a standard single-film one-sheet. The vertical copy at right (“広島やくざ…流血20年…”) reinforces the saga’s “Hiroshima yakuza war” realism, while the overall look—dark, minimal, confrontational—is pure Fukasaku-era Toei design.

Condition
Excellent . Please review the photos—they show the exact poster for sale.
