This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 2007 for the first Japanese release of City of Men (Cidade dos Homens), the Brazilian drama directed by Paulo Morelli and produced by Fernando Meirelles. Set in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas, it follows two lifelong friends as violence, loyalty, and family pressures collide—often described as a grittier, more intimate companion piece to the world of City of God.

Design
A powerful, minimalist photographic design: a stark black-and-white image of one boy carrying another dominates the upper field, set against Rio’s landscape—an immediate visual statement about friendship, vulnerability, and survival.
