This is an original Japanese poster, printed in 1965 for the Japanese re-release of Sabrina. Now over 59 years old, this poster remains in fantastic mint condition — an exceptional find for collectors of Audrey Hepburn and classic cinema.
Directed by Billy Wilder, Sabrina is a timeless romantic comedy based on the 1953 Broadway play Sabrina Fair by Samuel A. Taylor. The film stars Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden, and is celebrated for its elegance, wit, and unforgettable performances.
While Edith Head won the Oscar for Best Costume Design, it is famously rumoured that many of Hepburn’s most iconic looks were created by her close friend Hubert de Givenchy, whose collaboration with Hepburn began with this very film.
This particular artwork is unique to the Japanese 1965 re-release, and is considered one of the finest designs from the film’s global promotional campaign.
